Ethen’s Body Ref. + Scars
In general, Ethen has a strong, solid body, but he has a lot more upper-body strength due to all his years working as both a domestic and a field slave. As for the multiple scars on his back, they were the punishment for his unsuccessful escape attempt a few years ago.
(I’ve also decided to draw him wearing his typical slave clothing. However, I did not draw his slave markings because 1. this is more about his body shape instead of his past, and 2. I’ll be honest, I completely forgot about them haha).
This is prob one of the last WIP posts before the completion of the image :)
I think I was successful in making him look less feminine. And I also made his scars look more realistic :-P

I keep forgetting that those who’ve seen The Hobbit movie but have never read the book, or ever been exposed to anything about it, don’t really know that Fili and Kili are related to Thorin…
WIP shot of Ethen #2! Still looks messy, but there’s a lot more details on the skin now.
(However, I think he’s starting to look a little too feminine, so I’ll have to work on changing that)

Hakui’s body shape is pretty muscular due to all the walking she has to do with her tribe. And she needs to have a sturdy build in order to face the mountains and weather of the North :) Also, I decided she should have some tribal tattoos (not tattoos actually, it’s more like body painting).
